The new e-tail venture was established to reinvigorate the t-shirt world, according to Phil Alterman, company founder and president.

Cosmo Lombino, who stocks several Shirts With Balls designs at his shop Cosmo's on Melrose in Los Angeles, echoed Alterman's opinion, "Pushing the envelope is the only way to go."
Shirts With Balls creates designs for men and women covering a wide range of subjects such as humor, religion, and social commentary. But, most of all, its shirts have balls -- no cutesy, smug nonsense, no shirts for tourist dads or half-rebellious 14 year olds, and no cliche drug references -- real balls with a sizable helping of brain.
Alterman is well aware that some of the shirts are potentially offensive and stands by them. "These over-the-top designs we sell are not simply shock for shock's sake. There are ideas behind each one, ideas which we can articulate, unlike those companies that seek to distance themselves from their own designs with that all-encompassing tagline 'thought-provoking'," he declared.
Shirts with Balls are priced from $15 each plus shipping. Orders are shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail. As a precaution, shirts are sealed in a plastic bag before being placed in mailer. Shirts With Balls takes orders through PayPal's secure online system.
